NYT Strands Today (Game #802): The Answers
The answers to today’s Strands game #802 are…
- ARCHERY
- DISGUISE
- FOREST
- FRIAR
- OUTLAW
- SHERIFF
- SPANGRAM: ROBINHOOD
- My rating: Easy
- My score: Perfect
“Men in tights” surely could only mean one thing? Superheroes and their sidekicks. Therefore, it was with confidence that I called “robin”, the name of Batman’s sidekick in the tights era. Unfortunately, that was not the case.
Fortunately, I saw “hoodie” on the top row and realized that the “men in tights” we were looking for were from a time well beyond the 1960s.
From now on, it was just a matter of remembering the important factors in the ROBIN HOOD tale, although the only version I know involves a fox, a turtle, and a bear who liked jazz.
Answers from yesterday’s NYT Strands (Wednesday, May 13, Game #801)

- HEART
