NYT Strands Today (Game #807): The Answers
The answers to today’s Strands game #807 are…
- MOUND
- HILL
- KNOLL
- EARRING
- CREST
- BUTTE
- MOUND
- SPANGRAM: HIGHEST GROUND
- My rating: Hard
- My score: Perfect
I had never heard of the word HUMMOCK before, but I don’t frequent that many peat bogs either, so I think I can be forgiven. It’s a big word to say though.
I’m more familiar with the rest of the words that describe TOP TERRAIN, especially since I’m currently training for a very hilly long-distance bike ride in September and trying to develop the ability to climb any HILL without complaining, complaining, or stopping. As a result, I am recalibrating some things that I used to consider hills and that are now a mere SLOPE.
Meanwhile, BUTTE took me a little while because at first I thought it only had one T, which would be the rather rugged Scottish island that I discovered through a Google search that contains a lot of mounds.
Yesterday’s NYT Strands Answers (Monday, May 18, Game #806)
- ORANGE
- TANGERINE
- LIME
- CHINESE ORANGE
- GRAPEFRUIT
- TANGERINE
- SPANGRAM: CITRUS
