- Latest Android 17 beta includes Pixel 11 Pro Fold wallpaper thumbnails
- It also includes names and descriptions for them.
- They show swirling waters in shades of green and black or gray, which could reflect the colors in which the phone will be sold.
Android 17 has been in beta for a while, but the latest beta includes something unexpected, as Google accidentally included some thumbnails and descriptions of Pixel 11 Pro Fold wallpapers that haven’t been released yet.
As discovered by @evowizz (via Android Authority), two wallpapers are included, one of which is called ‘Pine: Tidal Swirl’ and the other ‘Midnight: Lunar Tides’. Also included is a description that reads: “Running waters swirl and flow through curved, rugged landscapes.”
That description seems accurate from what we can see here, and they’re pretty attractive wallpapers, so it’s a small thing to look forward to if you end up buying a Pixel 11 Pro Fold.

Google made a small mistake in the latest version of Android 17 by including thumbnails and descriptions of the Pixel 11 Pro Fold wallpapers. Pixel 10 Pro Fold contained wallpapers named “Sterling” (for the Moonstone color variant) and “Green” (for the Jade color variant).… pic.twitter.com/IJio0uxSerApril 23, 2026
A hint about the colors.
But beyond being nice in and of themselves, these wallpapers may hint at the shades the Pixel 11 Pro Fold will be available in, and perhaps we’ll see some sort of green color, along with a darker shade. But in that case, there might not be any change from the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, which is sold in Jade (green) and Moonstone (gray).
It would be a shame then, as it’s always nice to see new colors, but these wallpapers may not reflect the shades the phone will be sold in, or the shades may still differ a little from the current options.
Additionally, while there’s a good chance the Pixel 11 Pro Fold will be sold in both a green option and a darker shade, it’s unlikely, based on the above, that the names of these colors will be the same as the names of the wallpaper, so don’t expect Pine or Midnight shades.
We probably won’t know for sure until August, as the Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold is likely to launch, along with the rest of the Pixel 11 lineup.
