Pakistan and Turkiye Jinnah-XIII Commando Exercise Concludes in Ankara and Isparta

The Pakistan-Turkiye joint command and special forces exercise Jinnah-XIII was successfully carried out in Turkiye on Thursday, focusing on counter-terrorism operations, the army’s media wing said in a statement.

According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Pakistan army combat teams participated along with their Turkish counterparts, and training activities were carried out in Ankara and Isparta.

The ISPR said the exercise achieved all its military training and diplomacy objectives, with troops from both countries demonstrating high standards of professionalism and operational excellence during the exercises.

According to the statement, the main objective of the exercise was to perfect exercises, procedures and techniques related to anti-terrorist operations. “Special emphasis was placed on combat in built-up areas and countering improvised explosive devices (IEDs) through joint training,” he added.

“It was also stated that the exercise further strengthened the long-standing military relations between the two friendly nations. The exercise reflected close cooperation and a shared commitment to counterterrorism,” the statement concluded.

Earlier in the day, the Pakistan Navy successfully conducted a live-gun firing of a locally developed, ship-launched anti-ship missile.
