Pete Davidson and Elsie Hewitt are finding their footing as co-parents following their recent split, and sources share that communication between the couple has improved and Davidson has adjusted his schedule to be more present for his daughter.
“Their communication has improved,” a source told the newspaper. US Weeklydescribing the exes as having “productive conversations” about raising Scottie, the daughter they welcomed in December 2025.
“They have been working together on parenting. Pete has adjusted his schedule to be there for his daughter.”
On the romantic front, the source was clear: “Pete and Elsie wanted [the relationship] work and it wasn’t like that.
Davidson, 30, is described by a second source as “very involved” in Scottie’s life, a characterization that directly contrasts a narrative that has been circulating since Hewitt, also 30, posted a video on TikTok earlier this month suggesting that she has been a mother “on my own.”
In the clip, Hewitt responded to paparazzi photos of her looking tired while walking with the baby.
“Yes, yes, I know. I’m exhausted, okay?” she said.
“I have a baby to take care of. And I also have to work and earn money, and I do it alone, which is difficult.”
When pressed by commenters, she clarified that she meant she was only financially supporting Scottie.
Sources close to Davidson rejected that comment.
“His friends were very confused by this totally false narrative that he is absent or not involved,” a source said.
“He feels like that’s not the reality of the situation.”
A separate source told Us that Davidson is “fully supporting” both Scottie and Hewitt, covering their rent and health insurance, in addition to their daughter’s costs.
“Elsie’s posts took everyone around them by surprise because they are simply not true,” the source added.
As for Davidson’s emotional state, sources paint a picture of genuine disappointment rather than indifference.
“He felt like they were definitely in love and were together for a long time, so it’s a shame for him to be a single dad now,” a source explained.
“They had a lot of plans for the future.” However, reconciliation is said to be “very unlikely.”
The couple was first confirmed to be dating in March 2025, and Hewitt announced her pregnancy in July of that year.
