Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday approved the draft federal budget for 2026-2027. He chaired a cabinet meeting in Islamabad to review the budget proposals.
Chief Minister Shehbaz expressed gratitude to the coalition parties for their full support in the 2026-27 budget.
The prime minister also thanked the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for its help.
During the cabinet meeting, federal ministers and state ministers expressed their support for the Prime Minister by banging their desks.
The Prime Minister thanked Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP), Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) and Pakistan Muslim League (Q) (PML-Q).
The prime minister’s speech to the cabinet will be broadcast through official media.
