Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis would face an unexpected change of plans after a red alert was issued, and emergency precautions would be taken.
It was announced that the UK will be hit by a record high temperature, exceeding its highest ever recorded temperature of 40.3°C, set in Coningsby, Lincolnshire, in July 2022.
Reports claim that around 850 schools were fully or partially closed on Wednesday and Thursday due to the extreme weather.
Some schools would take the pandemic approach by moving lessons online, while other schools would be open but finish early at lunchtime.
The country has a rule for working parents, who are entitled to up to four weeks of unpaid parental leave each year. It is useful, for example, in the event of sudden school closures.
This, however, would not be a big problem for the Prince and Princess of Wales, who have often prioritized their three children over many royal matters.
Prince William is scheduled to make several commitments for Climate Action Week. It remains to be seen whether he would continue with his plans or make some changes.
Meanwhile, there are no current commitments for Princess Kate, meaning the school situation would not be an issue for the Welsh family.
