Princess Anne decides to leave the United Kingdom before Prince Harry’s visit

Princess Anne, known as the hardest-working royal, will leave Britain next month ahead of her nephew Prince Harry’s long-awaited trip to the United Kingdom.

The Princess Royal, in her capacity as Chair of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission, will travel to France with the Duke of Gloucester on 1 July.

The royals will commemorate the 110th anniversary of the Battle of the Somme, one of the most important and tragic battles of the First World War.

Sarah shared a post on her official Instagram Story, highlighting the upcoming royal engagement of King Charles’s only sister.

With the announcement, Sarah expressed her delight that the Duke of Gloucester was once again undertaking an overseas engagement.

His comment suggested gratitude for seeing the royal continue his public duties abroad, making the upcoming visit seem especially meaningful.

Meanwhile, King Charles, Queen Camilla, Prince William and Prince Edward will take part in a special ceremony in Scotland next week for the annual Royal Week celebrations, scheduled from Tuesday, June 30 to Friday, July 3, 2026.

Elsewhere, Prince Harry, Meghan Markle and their children, Archie and Lilibet, are expected to land in the United Kingdom in July for the family’s first trip to the country in four years.
