Princess Charlotte’s feelings may be hurt after the shocking announcement that also left people around the world upset.
The only daughter of the Princes of Wales is a great admirer of the world-renowned tennis player Carlos Alcaraz, who unfortunately ruled out the two major tournaments, the Queen’s Club Championships and Wimbledon, due to health problems.
The Spanish athlete took X and abandoned the update.
He wrote: “My recovery is going well and I feel much better, but unfortunately I am not ready to play yet, and that is why I have to retire from the grass courts at Queen’s and Wimbledon.
“They are two really special tournaments for me and I will miss them very much. We continue working to return as soon as possible!
Charlotte met Carlos for the first time backstage at Wimbledon in 2023. In 2024, she reunited with the tennis star and her photo shaking his hand went viral.
At the time, Wimbledon’s official social media page wrote: “A handshake for the champion from HRH Princess Charlotte.”
Princess Kate revealed during her meeting with Charles that her daughter had been “cheering you up” and that the whole family “watched a lot of TV… so it’s great to finally meet you.”
This update came after Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet joined their parents to celebrate their eighth wedding anniversary, as adorable videos shared by Meghan.
