Royal princesses narrowly escape shocking attack amid celebration

The royal family was saved from a devastating disaster when an alleged murder plot was foiled before it could be executed.

According to the AP, a 33-year-old man was arrested on Friday and found in possession of suspicious items in connection with a plot to harm Princess Catharina-Amalia and Princess Alexia of the Netherlands.

The investigation indicated that the man had allegedly been targeting Amalia, 22, and Alexia, 20, for a date in February in The Hague.

The suspect is expected to appear in court on Monday, according to the hearing scheduling order posted on the Hague Prosecutor’s Office website.

He further stated that the suspect was in possession of two axes “with the words ‘Alexia’, ‘Mossad’ and ‘Sieg Heil’ carved into them, and allegedly had a handwritten blade with the words ‘Amalia’, ‘Alexia’ and ‘Bloodbath’.”

The news comes just days after Amalia, Alexia and Princess Ariane joined their parents, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima, to take part in official celebrations in Dokkum, marking King’s Day celebrations.

Although, it seems that even though the news had been understood to cause some distress to the royalty, they nevertheless seemed in good spirits.

This is not the first attempt to harm the Dutch heir to the throne, Princess Amalia, as threats to her life intensified. She was forced to abandon her school life and could not leave home as a “huge consequence of her life.”

The Royal House has not yet commented on the latest threat.
