- The next Galaxy Unpacked is scheduled for July 22, 2026
- Samsung advances “A new way is being developed”
- A new foldable form factor could debut alongside existing Fold and Flip phones
A week after deleting its social media accounts and replacing them with cryptic teasers, and after months of rumors, Samsung has officially set the date for its second Galaxy Unpacked event of 2026.
Everything will be revealed, unpacked, or perhaps more appropriately, unfolded, on July 22, 2026, at 9am ET / 6am PT / 2pm BST (11pm AEDT). Samsung will livestream the Galaxy Unpacked keynote from an in-person event in London, UK, and yes, TechRadar will be present at the presentation.
The invitation itself is already giving clues, as Samsung tries to build anticipation. Alongside the tagline “A New Shape Unfolds,” the animated invitation shows what appears to be a printed ticket before the top edge is torn off, revealing a noticeably wider and shorter silhouette than Samsung’s current Galaxy Z Fold devices.
Samsung hasn’t confirmed exactly what it will announce on July 22, but between the slogan and the animation, it’s hard not to see them as clues pointing towards an entirely new foldable design. He’s also already accepting pre-reservations for whatever he’ll formally unveil at the July 22 event.

Specifically, you can sign up with your email on Samsung’s main site at no cost to get a $30 Samsung credit that can be applied to your pre-order and unlock up to $1,230 off with an eligible device trade-in.
So if you’re considering one of the upcoming Galaxy devices, it’s worth getting in line now… and there’s no cost involved.
Samsung’s summer Galaxy Unpacked events have traditionally been the stage for its new foldable smartphones and new wearables like Galaxy Watches and Galaxy Buds. This year, however, it looks like the focus will extend beyond the usual annual updates.
While we expect successors to the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7, Samsung has already hinted that something different is on the way. When it began teasing the event last week, the tech giant said that “after seven generations of pushing the boundaries of foldable devices, Samsung is taking a different approach to how to build anticipation this year.”
That statement, combined with months of leaks pointing to a broader foldable form factor, has fueled speculation that Samsung is finally ready to unveil an entirely new type of foldable phone.
Unlike the familiar book-style design of the Galaxy Z Fold line, this rumored device is expected to feature a much larger form factor. Based on the leaks we’ve seen so far, it looks like the now-discontinued Microsoft Surface Duo, Apple’s long-rumored foldable expected to arrive later this year, or even a classic Moleskine laptop when closed. If the rumors turn out to be true, Samsung could once again be the first to bring a new foldable form factor to market.
Galaxy AI is also expected to be front and center throughout the keynote, with Samsung likely to show off new AI-powered features on its latest foldable phones and potentially tease its upcoming Android XR glasses.
