Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco are currently long distance as the Emmy-nominated actress filming season 6 of Only murders in the building in London.
The actress and singer took to her Instagram Stories on Friday, May 22, to share an update from the UK capital, where production on season six is currently taking place. Posting a calm lakeside photo with Blanco, Gomez kept her message short and emotional: “I miss my best friend.”
The newlywed couple is temporarily separated while Gomez films the next episode of the hit mystery comedy series alongside Steve Martin and Martin Short. Production officially began earlier this week and the cast moved to London to film.
As Gomez reminisced about life at home in Beverly Hills, Steve Martin shared a photo of the trio, with the River Thames and other landmarks in the background.
“Here we are Selena, Marty and I, working hard in London on Only Murders in the What,” he joked.
Gómez, 33, and Blanco, 38, are still happy as newlyweds, having tied the knot just a few months ago in September 2025. The couple met almost a decade before they started dating, collaborating on music together.
They went public with their relationship in December 2023 and announced their engagement at the end of 2024.
