Simon Cowell is betting big on new talent once again giving One Direction fans nostalgia.
His newly formed boyband, December 10, will release their first music video on Monday.
The announcement came just days after the Netflix series. The next act who presented them was met with criticism.
The group is made up of seven members: Cruz (19), Danny (16), Hendrick (19), John (17), Josh (17), Nicolas (16) and Sean (19).
He rose to fame through Cowell’s documentary series, which revived the familiar talent show format of auditions and training camps.
Although he american idol Judge’s new project was labeled by critics as “dated” and “derivative”, so he officially signed the band under his management.
His debut video will feature a live acoustic version of NSYNC. Goodbye, goodbye, goodbye filmed at London’s Metropolis Studios.
The performance was previewed at the end of the six-part Netflix series and will premiere on YouTube at 4pm on December 15.
Cowell, who has previously featured talent including One Direction, Westlife and Little Mix, has expressed concern that record labels are no longer signing enough new talent.
“…the number of UK artists who are making it around the world has literally plummeted because I think there’s too much competition online.” x factor the judge stated.
“People don’t knock on your door saying, ‘I’ve got a new band.’ That doesn’t happen. You have to go out and do it yourself. So that’s what we’re doing.”
