- This Whoop Trick Matches Heart Rate to Meeting Attendees
- May link coworkers to higher stress levels
- The unofficial hack was done with the help of Claude Fable 5 AI
We’ve seen several examples of people hacking their Whoop bands before (even recently), but nothing to this level: One enterprising user connected his Whoop to his meeting schedule on Google Calendar and can now determine which of his coworkers increases his stress levels the most.
Developer Pankaj Tanwar posted his custom setup on
We don’t give many details about how this was done, but Tanwar says he used Claude Fable’s AI model to reverse engineer his Whoop and extract the heart rate data. That was then combined with calendar meetings and with colleagues attending.
“I now have a leaderboard and I think about it daily,” says Tanwar, who has sensibly edited his screenshot so that we can’t see which people’s blood boils more than others. It’s a really cool idea and a great example of a hardware and software trick that produces really interesting data.
more please
I plugged my whoop into my work calendar to find which coworker causes me the most stress. Thanks to Fable, I reverse engineered an increase in heart rate per minute. And peaks coinciding with lime events and attendees. Now I have a leaderboard and I think about it daily. Little information… pic.twitter.com/x1jdkW8JdZJune 10, 2026
Of course, this isn’t an exact science: heart rate can vary for all sorts of reasons, including time of day and eating and drinking routines. It’s possible that it’s the meeting subjects that make Tanwar’s heart rate quicken, rather than the co-workers sitting there with him.
Still, it’s a fun experiment, and even if Whoop doesn’t correctly identify the colleagues who cause the most stress, the data can be used to manage health and well-being during the workday, in and out of meetings.
It’s something I’d love to have on my own fitness tracker – the kind of information these AI-enhanced trackers should give us. Which colleague bothers me the most? What parts of my trip are the most stressful? What TV shows calm me down?
This is also further evidence of the increasingly capable AI models we all have access to. Fable 5 has just been released to the world at large and is already being used to produce next-level apps and tools with just a few lines of prompts; Also check out these alternative Fitbit apps.
