The Earth Appreciation Festival sale is now available on Steam and highlights more than 170 games that showcase the natural world or address topics such as climate change and pollution.
Hosted by developers Slug Disco, Stray Fawn and Mechanistry, it’s the fifth incarnation of the sale and timed perfectly with Earth Day 2026 this week. It comes with Cool Earth as the official charity partner, with developer activations and content creator streams to raise money.
The sale is divided into two different categories. First, there are relaxing nature games, like the adorable island sandbox. coral islandcity builder puzzle Null Earththe cute game of collecting frogs Kamaeru: a haven for frogsand Ant maintenance simulator (no prizes for guessing what it is).

They are contrasted with a range of grittier ecodystopian games, including brilliant strategy titles. Frostpunk 2 and Endless legend 2.
Early access products and upcoming releases are also showcased in the Earth Appreciation Festival Showcase, which can be viewed in a separate tab on the sales page. There’s a good variety of games here, and I’ve already added both cyberpunk comedy RPGs and Neo-trash city and roguelike deck builder on the network to my personal wish list based solely on their cool art directions.
