Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick has confirmed this once again grand theft car 6is the release date, so it looks like fans shouldn’t worry about any further delays.
In a street interview with popular TikTok account The School of Hard Knocks (via GameSpot), Zelnick was asked about his business before broaching the topic. GTA 6.
When asked when the long-awaited game will come out, the CEO reaffirmed that GTA 6 will be released on November 19 of this year. But why does it take so long to come out, 13 years later? GTA 5 to be exact?
According to Zelnick, “the Rockstar team is really looking to do something that’s never been done before. That’s really difficult and time-consuming.”
The CEO added that Take-Two made $6.7 billion in revenue last year alone, and is expected to reach $8 billion this year, likely due to GTA 6The next release and its estimated sales of 25 million copies on the first day.
He then offered some business advice, saying that people “should never compromise their integrity. It’s all they have,” and they should keep their word “without a doubt.”
“I am flawed. There was a time when I acted in a way that was not consistent with my views on integrity in business. It hurt me greatly and I learned a powerful lesson. Never do that,” Zelnick said.
He added: “I think everyone is looking for an overnight success. My experience is that the only overnight successes are someone else’s. Anything worth doing is hard and takes a long time,” before offering some career advice.
“People should pursue the intersection between what they do well and what they like to do, emphasizing what they are good at,” he said. “Do that and the world will probably open up to you.”
Despite standing firm on the game’s new release date following a six-month delay, Zelnick recently suggested that GTA 6 is more than a year late.
He also said that marketing for the game will begin soon, which could mean that the long-awaited third trailer could finally be released sometime this summer.
