Taylor Swift has been a passionate musician since the beginning of her career, when she started with songs written in her childhood bedroom and a guitar, and has so far created a discography that couldn’t possibly have been recreated through AI.
The 36-year-old pop superstar has also been officially verified as a non-AI artist on Spotify, ensuring that her work is a byproduct of her mind and not a machine.
Even though critics called their last album, The life of a showgirl“AI ban” and all, the Grammy winner has always been very meticulous with her song-making process.
In a recent detailed interview with New York TimesSwift spoke at length about her songwriting process.
She told the outlet that her writing is rooted in descriptions of feelings. Swift shared that she has tried to maintain the same intensity of feelings she first felt as a young adult.
“I don’t have social media on my phone. It seems like I’m scrolling endlessly, but I’m scrolling through words, like the words in my file that I thought of four years ago at 3 in the morning,” said the Opalite hitmaker.
Swift is also widely recognized for her songwriting and was inducted into this year’s Songwriters Hall of Fame.
