Adam Sandler officiated Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s recent wedding but it remained top secret until the big day arrived, one of the attendees revealed.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end’s friend Jonathan Thomas, CEO of American Century Investments, shared that guests couldn’t believe Sandler would officiate and initially thought it was a “joke.”

Sharing more details about the event, Thomas continued, “He actually spoke for 20 or 30 minutes, vacillating between funny and very sincere, singing some things. There are two things I remember clearly, one is that in typical vows the officiant says, ‘To rich or to poor,’ and he said, ‘You won’t have to worry about that,'” referring to the power couple’s net worth.
He pointed out that the happy gilmore The star told the couple: “Kiss every day, in the morning, at night after dinner, just kiss often.”
Thomas recalled that Swift and Kelce’s 30-minute vows were deeply emotional and vulnerable and made “all these 300-pound men in the football business cry too, so I felt very comfortable letting it go” and they didn’t go dry as they read them.
