The administration of the district of the federal capital announced this Saturday the restoration of transportation services, allowing the entry into the city of all types of public transportation and goods, after a temporary suspension imposed for security reasons due to possible talks between the United States and Iran that never materialized.
The development comes amid a new setback in the peace process after US President Donald Trump canceled a planned visit by envoys Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff to Pakistan for talks with Iranian officials.
According to a statement issued by the deputy commissioner’s office, all bus terminals in Islamabad have been reopened except Faizabad bus terminal, which will remain closed until further notice.
