The Irish presenter, 40, reflected on his relationship in a candid conversation with Jamie Laing about his Great company podcast.

Vogue, who is now happily married to Spencer Matthews, said she found their split “humiliating” after people around her “expected” her and Brian to divorce.

She said: ‘It’s really embarrassing. It’s quite humiliating because you know that people have started speculating and talking about it and you hear it, you know it’s true and you’re trying not to let it out.

“We also put out a really embarrassing statement, which I don’t think is necessary.”

Vogue added that she wouldn’t feel embarrassed now that she’s older, but at the time she felt like a “failure” because so many people around her were expecting a divorce.

She continued: “I remember saying to my older brother Frederick, ‘I’m getting married, we’re getting married here,’ and he was living in Australia at the time and he said, ‘Vogue, I just can’t come back from Australia, but I’ll tell you I’ll go next time,’ and he did, he came next time.”

Vogue added: “I never harbor bad feelings, things happen because they happen, we weren’t right for each other.”

“I truly believe there is no ex I wouldn’t say hello to. It’s just a different time in your life.

‘I remember getting divorced and saying, “This is incredibly embarrassing” and feeling like a huge failure.

“Now I look back and think it wasn’t really like that, I just cared too much about people’s opinions.”

Vogue met Brian in May 2011 and shortly after moved from Ireland to Oz to live with him while he worked as a judge on Australia has talent.
