He The Devil Wears Prada 2 has arrived on Hulu and will stream starting Wednesday, July 29, roughly three months after ending its theatrical run and surpassing the billion-dollar mark for the franchise at the global box office.
The sequel, arriving on Hulu at 3 a.m. ET, catches up with Anne Hathaway’s Andy Sachs two decades after the events of the original film, as she returns to Runway magazine to work with editor-in-chief Miranda Priestly, once again played by Meryl Streep, as the publication’s new features editor.
Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci also reprise their roles from the 2006 original, and the sequel adds Simone Ashley, Caleb Hearon and Justin Theroux to the cast, along with cameos from the likes of Jon Batiste, Ciara, Karl-Anthony Towns and Lady Gaga.
The film opened in theaters on May 1 and grossed over $676 million worldwide, bringing the two-film franchise’s combined global total to over $1 billion.
Prior to its streaming debut, the film was also made available on digital platforms including Prime Video, Apple TV, and Fandango at Home in late June, followed by a 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray release on July 28.
The basic tier of ad-supported Hulu is priced at $11.99 per month, with an ad-free option available for $18.99 per month for those who want to catch up on the latest Runway drama at home.
