Ferrell’s revamped campaign comes on the heels of his viral June photo shoot for Kardashian’s underwear and underwear brand, SKIMS, in which the comedian stripped down to his underwear.
Upon seeing the sultry promotional images revealed to the public, Ferrell praised his own physique and joked, “If you’ve got it, flaunt it.”
Pointing to her own nearly naked photos, she jokingly asked how PEOPLE I could possibly overlook it, suggesting that they skip a new photo shoot entirely and just use the SKIMS images for the cover.
Addressing directly the camera, the Elf The star joked that he is still trying to get the magazine’s crown and warned: “PEOPLEIf you don’t give it to me this year, then we’ll know it’s already solved. Okay?”
The actor’s campaign is not a sudden whim, as he first said PEOPLE In 2024, he was actively “planting the seeds” to land the iconic cover, noting at the time that the publication rarely casts comedians.
