The British royal family celebrated King Charles’ official birthday with the traditional Trooping the Color ceremony, a spectacular display of British military precision.
Thousands of royal fans and other spectators gathered to enjoy the occasion, which featured some of Britain’s most distinguished regiments.
This year’s parade marks the fourth time the monarch has presided over the celebration since assuming the throne.
The Prince and Princess of Wales and their three children stole the show as they joined King Charles and Queen Camilla along with other royals.
Kensington Palace shared a series of posts on the official Instagram of the Prince and Princess of Wales, showing the Welsh and other royals celebrating with fans and soldiers at Trooping the Colour.
In another post, Kate Middleton is seen having fun with her three children. Catherine and her daughter, Princess Charlotte, coordinated their looks for this year’s Trooping the Color events.
Not only did Charlotte subtly match her mother and siblings with the light blue details of her dress, but she and Princess Kate also wore matching pearl bracelets.
The future queen’s three-strand pearl bracelet previously belonged to her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana.
In the video, displayed next to the palace, the 44-year-old princess is seen showing off her grace in a pale blue Catherine Walker dress, topped with a matching Philip Treacy hat.
Her sons, Prince George, 12, and Prince Louis, 8, paired it with dark blue suits with pale blue ties.
Charlotte, 11, had little light blue details sewn onto her dress to keep the theme with her family.
Catherine joined Queen Camilla and the king on stage in her capacity as colonel of the Irish Guards, as approximately 8,000 relatives of participating guards and officers filled the surrounding stands.
Members of the royal family watched the parade from the balcony of Buckingham Palace, marking the King’s birthday parade with lightheartedness and spirit.
Three royal colonels rode behind the King’s carriage: the Prince of Wales in his role as Colonel of the Welsh Guards, the Princess Royal as Colonel of the Blues and Royals, and the Duke of Edinburgh representing the Scots Guards.
At the head of the procession was the Band of the Royal Cavalry, accompanied by two local horses carrying solid silver timpani.

The royal family also shared a message on their official Instagram account.
The Palace wrote: “With gratitude to the 1,400 members of the Armed Forces who took part in today’s Trooping the Colour, and with special mention to the Grenadier Guards who paraded in their new Colour. We salute them.”
For the first time in history, personnel from the Army, Royal Navy and RAF Regiment lined the ceremonial route together, with units ranging from the 1st Battalion Coldstream Guards to the 26th Engineer Regiment, the Royal Lancers and the 16th and 4th Regiments Royal Artillery.
