WWE star Danhausen’s “not cursing” the New York Knicks may be an underrated story from their magical run to the NBA Finals these past few months, but he’s making sure Mayor Zohran Mamdani gives him proper credit should the team win the championship.
As the Knicks led the San Antonio Spurs 2-0 following Friday night’s victory, Danhausen provided Mamdani with a list of demands.

“.@ZohranKMamdani yes hello I’m Danhausen ~ Danhausen needs a giant floating Danhausen balloon ready for the parade throwing pizza and hot dogs at all New Yorkers, he wrote on X.
“Danhausen can be placed between Snoopy and Garfield.”
Danhausen also asked that Oscar the Grouch have a happy home.
“P.S. Give the muppet who lives in a garbage can an apartment so he can get off the streets and change his life.”
Danhausen’s “curse” has affected his WWE colleagues and, perhaps, the Carolina Hurricanes as well.

The “very nice, very evil” vaudeville character appeared on the T-Mobile Arena video board and “cursed” the Hurricanes as they competed with the Vegas Golden Knights in Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final.
Vegas won the game 5-4 in Game 3 in double overtime. Vegas has a 2-1 lead in the series.
Danhausen requested “human money” from the Hurricanes in order to “get out of the curse.”
The “curse” has resonated throughout the sports world, and the Knicks seemingly benefited the most from not being “cursed.”
