Love Island USA bombshell Alannah Keyser is speaking out following her abrupt exit from the reality dating show.
In a TikTok posted on Saturday, June 27, Alannah addressed a resurfaced video of her singing a Roddy Ricch song that contains a racial slur, while also questioning screenshots that circulated online.
“Hello everyone, I’m here to address some things that have been circulating online,” Keyser began.
“I want to start by addressing the video in which I sing a Roddy Ricch song that contains a racial slur. I feel sorry for anyone who saw that video and was offended by it. That was never my intention,” he said.
“The video is from six years ago and that word is no longer in my vocabulary.”
The 21-year-old admitted the reaction was difficult to process.
“When I first found out everything that was going on, it really broke my heart,” she said, adding, “But this has definitely been a learning lesson for me. And it sucks that I haven’t had the opportunity to really show my personality and who I am.”
Peacock confirmed Alannah’s departure during the June 25 episode.
According to the network, the resurfaced video and online posts only became public after she entered the villa and were therefore not available during the vetting process leading up to the show’s filming.
Keyser’s ouster comes after another contestant, Vasana Montgomery, was also ousted over a similar controversy.
