Lewis Capaldi is celebrating a major milestone in both his personal and professional life.

On Saturday, June 27, the Grammy-nominated musician officially marked one year since returning to music after announcing a hiatus in 2023 due to mental health issues.

On his Instagram, Capaldi shared a series of images from the stage along with a heartfelt note.

“One year after being back on the saddle and from returning to the stage at Glastonbury to now, what a year it has been,” Capaldi, 29, wrote.

We’ll celebrate by playing to 70,000 people in Exeter over the next two days. Thank you for everything my boys,” he added.

After his performance at Glastonbury 2023, the someone you loved Hitmaker released a statement confirming that he will be stepping away from music.

“I used to be able to enjoy every second of shows like this and I was hoping that 3 weeks away would help me,” he wrote.

“But the truth is that I am still learning to adapt to the impact of my Tourette syndrome and on Saturday it became clear that I need to spend a lot more time getting my physical and mental health in order, so I can continue doing everything I love for a long time to come.”

After a long break, Capaldi finally returned to music with his single, Survivepublished on June 27, 2025.

That same day, he also returned to the Glastonbury stage and has shown no signs of slowing down since.
