Field Marshal Munir receives guard of honor at HQ as Pakistan’s first CDF


The event was attended by senior military officers, including the Chief of the Naval Staff and the Chief of the Air Staff.

An honor guard ceremony was held at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi to honor Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Nishan-e-Imtiaz (Military), Hilal-e-Jurat, on his appointment as the first chief of Pakistan’s defense forces.

During the ceremony, contingents from all three armed forces presented the COAS and the newly appointed chief of the defense forces with a formal guard of honour. Field Marshal Munir also received a general salute and reviewed the honor guard, the state broadcaster reported.

The event was attended by senior military officers including Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf and Chief of Air Staff Pakistan Air Force Zaheer Ahmad Babar who paid tribute to the newly appointed defense chief.
