Rosenqvist’s accident was one of the few that occurred in the field. The drivers who traded paint started early, as there were hits on the frontstretch to take the green flag before Turn 1. As the drivers entered Turn 1, a handful of drivers were caught in a spin. Rosenqvist was also involved in that incident.

Marcus Ericsson, Christian Rasmussen and Alexander Rossi failed to finish the race. Romain Grosjean finished the race but was one lap behind.
There were 12 caution laps during the race and six lead changes between four drivers.
The biggest leadership change came at the end. Lundgaard passed David Malukas with 18 laps remaining. He held off all other drivers for the rest of the race to capture the victory.
