World gained momentum before the match after the devastating loss of his brother. She defeated Skye Blue and Athena to reach the match against Moné. But her career as Cinderella came to an abrupt end at the hands of Moné.

The fans seemed to be behind Moné as she taunted World at the start of the match. However, the two put on a great performance in front of the crowd in San Jose, California.

World went all out: complicated pinning combinations, elaborate and hard-hitting moves, and even kicking out of Moné’s most difficult slams. At the end of the match, the crowd was divided on who they were rooting for in the match. Moné tried not to be caught off guard by some of World’s maneuvers. At one point, World hit Moné with a sunset powerbomb on the floor and a springboard moonsault.

Still, the “CEO” would not stay down.

Moné was sent off for a dunk attempt. Moné beat a traitor on a cross. It made World give up.

It is the first time an AEW wrestler has won the Owen Cup twice. He has done it in consecutive years. Last year, she came up short against Toni Storm for the AEW Women’s World Championship.
