More than 6,340 workers and 1,066 vehicles and machinery have been assigned to the cleaning operation and the licenses of all staff have been cancelled. The operation will continue in seven tehsils and 164 union councils of Rawalpindi, where special cleaning and washing of houses, mosques, Eidgahs and graveyards will be carried out. Special cleaning teams have also been formed for livestock markets and communal altars.

In addition, 33 transfer stations, four landfills, thousands of containers and 37,700 waste bags will be enabled for the timely disposal of garbage. The 1139 helpline will remain active 24 hours a day for immediate attention to citizen complaints.
