NYT Strands Today (Game #790): The Answers
The answers to today’s Strands game number 790 are…
- SHUFFLE
- KICK
- COASTER
- PONY
- DRAG
- SAILOR
- MAGICIAN
- SPANGRAM: LINEDANCE
- My rating: Hard
- My score: 1 track
Having never participated in a LINEDANCE, unless you count Superman Dance moves at a holiday park in the 1990s, my initial thought after getting SHUFFLE was that it was a search for words meaning slow movement.
After receiving KICK, I was completely confused and a hint of COASTER still left me no wiser.
The turning point was watching dance and then LINEDANCE, but I still made my way around the board uncoordinated.
I later learned that all of these words describe types of line dancing rather than movements as such. Very fun, but with my iffy knees I doubt I’ll be doing the PONY anytime soon.
Yesterday’s NYT Strands Answers (Friday, May 1, Game #789)

- LUAU
- UKULELE
- PINEAPPLE
- MACADAMIA
