Based on the season 5 finale, we know that fellow crime podcast host Cinda Canning (Tina Fey) was attacked after returning to the US to hide a woman accused of an actual murder.
We don’t know yet how this ties into season 6, but an iconic comedy connection is already right under our noses… and the series would be foolish not to use it.
Opinion: The Absolutely Fabulous Stars Joining Only Murders in the Building Season 6 Are Exactly the Comedy Camp the Show Needs
Look
As soon as I heard that Jennifer Saunders was joining the Only murders in the building cast, I knew the creative team had made the best decision yet. If you’ve seen her on comedy shows like Amandalandia and french and saunders, You will know how legendary a character actress she is.
Nowhere was this more evident than in his unhinged sitcom creation. Absolutely fabulouswhere he plays the deluded fashionista Eddie. His assistant Bubble (played by Jane Horrocks) was equally oblivious to it all, but on the contrary, making the pair a chaotically beautiful chalk-and-cheese double act.
Luckily for us, Horrocks also joins the cast of Only murders in the building season 6, which means we could have a really clever comedy reunion on our hands. It’s currently unclear if the two guest stars will connect, but not doing so would be a huge missed opportunity.
Even if that doesn’t happen, we won’t be short of comedy gold. bad sistersSharon Horgan is easily one of the best comedy talents to come out of Ireland or the UK in recent years, while actor Sir Derek Jacobi can deliver big laughs with a completely straight face.
To top it all off, we have a literal Spice Girl in the mix…and I’ve only seen Geri perform once. What more could we ask for?
