“The TNA Knockouts, for two decades, have changed the landscape of professional wrestling,” Brooks said. “Heck, the TNA Knockouts started the women’s revolution. We shattered the glass ceilings. We rewrote the rules. We created opportunities and time and time again we showed why we belong on the biggest stage. And now, it’s time to make history once again.
“Starting this Thursday night, there will be a 16-woman tournament. And at the end of that tournament, we will crown the first TNA Television Knockout Champion.”
He took off his belt and it featured the letters “KO” and “TV” in purple and black letters.

So far, it has not been announced who will participate in the tournament. Black, Hartwell and Sadè could very well be in that tournament, starting with “Impact.”
“This championship will be defended exclusively on ‘Impact’ television,” Brooks continued. “And for my knockouts, it’s an opportunity once again to prove that you are the best women’s division in professional wrestling.
“Ladies, let’s make history.”
