Last month, SquareLocator, a discovery platform for the Squarespace ecosystem, launched. The platform aims to cut through the noise of traditional search by offering a curated list of Squarespace tools, templates, plugins, and specialized services, making it easy for designers, developers, and creators to find the reliable tools they need to build great websites.
In a press release shared with TechRadar Pro, SquareLocator highlights the issues surrounding Squarespace users having to navigate thousands of Google results, social media recommendations, and fragmented community forums.
“I realized I wasn’t looking for more options,” says Miles Noble, founder of SquareLocator. “I was looking for better recommendations.”
Provide a platform to independent creators
The problem for Squarespace agencies, developers, and DIYers is finding the right tools for the job. So for the developers of those tools, getting discovered and monetizing their skills and hard work is one of their biggest challenges. This is the gap that SquareLocator promises to help close.
“SquareLocator started out as something I wish already existed,” shares Noble. “As I talked to more designers, developers, and creators, I realized I wasn’t the only one facing this challenge. Finding trustworthy tools shouldn’t mean sifting through thousands of search results or relying on casual recommendations. SquareLocator is designed to simplify discovery by connecting people to high-quality resources that have been carefully curated by experts.”
According to the press release, instead of trying to list everything, SquareLocator focuses on quality over quantity. The platform features credible tools from across the Squarespace ecosystem, organizing them into clear categories, making it easy for users to discover them, meaning they can spend less time searching and more time building great websites.
