WWE’s Saturday Night Main Event comes to Madison Square Garden in New York City on Saturday night.
The event is expected to feature the company’s top stars facing each other with possible additions to the WWE Undisputed Championship match at SummerSlam on the line.

New York Knicks star Jalen Brunson is also supposed to be in attendance and will have an angle with world heavyweight champion Roman Reigns. Brunson, who has appeared in a WWE ring before, said during the NBA playoffs that he and a coach recognize Reigns before each game.
It’s unclear, but it seems like there’s a chance Brunson could become an honorary member of Bloodline. But we’ll see about that.

Danhausen against JD McDonagh in a no disqualification match

The Judgment Day has been upset with Danhausen for several weeks after he took money from Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh without cursing out an opponent for them. Mysterio and McDonagh stole the Knicks jersey given to Danhausen for “removing the curse” when New York won the NBA championship. The stakes were raised on Monday when it became a no-disqualification match.
Prediction: You can’t let Danhausen lose to the New York crowd. It will be Danhausen passing over McDonagh.

Paige and Brie Bella have been WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions since WrestleMania 42. But their reign may be on the ropes when they take on Lainey Reid and Fallon Henley with the title on the line. Fatal Influence members Reid and Henley have been crying since they debuted on the main roster. There’s a good chance Reid and Henley will leave New York with the tag belts.
Prediction: Fatal Influence takes the team titles.

Bayley vs. Lyra Valkyria

Lyra Valkyria and Bayley were once friends, but a tag team title loss caused Valkyria to turn on Bayley a few weeks ago. On Monday Valkyria came out broken. She blamed Bayley for holding her back as a competitor. Their feud will come to a head in the ring at Madison Square Garden.
Prediction: Valkyria will get a big win over Bayley.

CM Punk and Cody Rhodes against Gunther and Sami Zayn

The biggest match will be a tag team match between CM Punk and Cody Rhodes and Gunther and Sami Zayn. Rhodes, Gunther and Zayn have been involved in a huge feud for over a month, with Zayn becoming the undisputed WWE champion at Night of Champions in June. However, his title reign only lasted nine days when Punk made a dramatic return on “Monday Night Raw” and defeated Zayn for the title. Punk and Rhodes agreed to a belt match at SummerSlam, but the competitors could rise for that match depending on the outcome on Saturday night. If Gunther and Zayn win, they will join the fight. Raises the stakes for what should be an interesting tag team fight.
Prediction: Punk and Rhodes work together to fend off Gunther and Zayn.
