Written and composed by Lana Del Rey and David Arnold, ‘First Light’ will set the stage for IO Interactive’s original James Bond story, premiering next month.
The new song also marks the return of Arnold, the renowned Bond franchise composer with credits on multiple film scores including Tomorrow never dies, the world is not enough, die another day, Casino Royaleand How much comfort.

“James Bond’s music has always been a big part of his identity,” Arnold said in a press release. “The title track has to tell us about the world we are about to enter. It has to intrigue us, excite us and draw us in. This song joins a long list of genre-defining songs, each of which creates a stylistic reference point that adds to the magnificent heritage that is ‘The Bond Song’.”
“That’s why I was so excited to work with Lana, an artist who brought elegance, atmosphere and her totally unique character to this piece, which I hope will open up the world of Bond to a whole new audience.”

While the song and its lyric video are now available on streaming platforms, the official title sequence will be shown for the first time on 007 First lighton social media channels today at 8pm BST / 12pm PST.

007 First light is scheduled to release on May 27 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, but the Nintendo Switch 2 version has been delayed.
